So who has received the email to say Valla has been moved to Macksville Showground?

    Volkswagen Spectacular.

    New Location Announced.

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that we have had to change venue for this year’s Volkswagen Spectacular.
Due to changes beyond our control with our original venue Valla Beach Tourist Park, we have had to relocate to what we will be a new and exciting direction for the event.
We are hoping you will all join us at the new venue, Macksville Showground
Macksville Showground is 15 minutes drive south from Valla Park
The site backs onto the Nambucca River and is a great spot for the event to be held.
Booking for Camping spots will just be transferred from Valla Beach Tourist Park.
If you had a unit booked at Valla Park we will be contacting you to discuss the available options.
There is plenty of room to display cars, the swap meet will have loads of space and there will be food trucks for catering.
The itinerary will stay the same and as the saying goes one door closes and another opens.
Change of venue will be exciting, nothing like a change after all these years, we can’t wait to see you all at this years show.
    Thanks

If staying at Macksville Showground, power leads need to be tagged.

For the electrical whizzkids, how can I legally power my campsite as all my stuff will be 10 amp whereas the campsite will be 15 amp.
I do have a dodgy brothers lead made up but won’t be able to get that tagged.
Mods please move if not an appropriate question to as on this post

    Phill,
We weren't booked at Valla but were contemplating. Can you tell me about camping options pls at Macksville. Sounds like gas & battery for us! Can do.
    Cheers

A 10amp plug will connect to a 15amp tagged lead....;)

Just buy an approved 15A caravan lead. Everything 10A will just plug in to it.

(This regulation was posted by Mark Pell)

The socket will be 15A anyway so a 10A plug will not be necessary.

Where is the best place to try and find somewhere to stay if not camping, but still keen to come up for a couple of days - Nambucca Heads / Other?

You could head north to Sawtell or Coffs Harbour, a great caravan park with cabins in Sawtell which is right on the creek/beach and walking distance to the restaurants in Sawtell.
Urunga also has a great park on the beach with cabins etc.
Coffs is also the location of Mid Coast Volkswerks, Graham Melling who does great work on my Kombi.

No David, leads need to be "tested & tagged" by an authorised person......
Tags must be "in date" if this is a requirement by the Showground organisers, as posted by Phill.
Better to get 'em done before you leave as there "may" be an inflated charge to tag on site if necessary.........
    Cheers,
    Mark

Does any one know if there will be a qualified tester onsite to offer this service? .... or wondering they will even police this?

    Doubtful

Maybe as it was mentioned by the organisers for this venue.

Just make sure that you have a legal 15A lead. Not modified with a 10A plug. If you don't have one just buy one.

I can check leads for anyone but I cannot tag them as it is a separate qualification. I think you can buy the tags from Bunnings.
