The red splittty is owned by a older friend of mine....he did all the resto on that bus years ago & it was all done by the "old school" way....he also owned "Pidge" the blue oval before Robb bought it from him....(Pidge was parked out on the road just near the red splitty today) ....both are beautiful cars

The round air con attachment stuck to the window of the beetle in photo above.

Are these something someone makes up or do you have to make them yourself?? Is there any info on the design of these????

    Thanks Melissa and Don,
Now I know what they are called, the hunt begins, I found someone selling an in car floor mount one on ebay, who claimes to have another out of window type. $$$$
I will keep an eyeout for them, or see if I can bodge one up out of pvc that will keep me cool without doing too much damage to the window.

Wow, Had a further look and they are all around $300 US and thats with them sitting over their still. Also, they don't work that well in humid environments. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

And they only work on the drives side as they are made for LHD, so if you want a cold wind blowing in your ear its OK

  16. Not likely LOL. Car has soo much engineering under it yu couldn't really put a price on it. His next little projects on the car were supercharging the type 4 and possibly looking at a renault un5 gearbox with a difference - 3 speed splitter (ultra low gear, low and high range)

Dunno how he sleeps at night with all the ideas running around in his head net alone the stuff he conjures up for the race cars......
