I'm sure the more I stare at paint the more confusing it is! I give up :)

I Do not blame you Mark, I had almost given up trying to find the "M Plate" to identify the paint code.

But I have just worked out where it was..............before someone seemed to have removed it .........

See Photo taken just left of fuse box top left.....you can see where it was, they left the pop rivets behind....

Mine is plated behind drivers seat. Not m plate as such, will post pic. Your colour looks same though. Also have stamp behind passenger seat, not sure what that's about.

Thanks, I have the same plate behind the drivers seat, that is just the ADR plate identifying the chassis number and saying the vehicle complies with Australian Standards. Your colour sticker may be behind the passenger seat...Dulon etc etc.

My M Plate (missing) shows code for colour etc.

you won't have an m plate if you have the other, as it states "made in aus", m plates were only on the german ones.

I hear you, but I have read elsewhere that after a certain year the colour code location changed from behind the passenger seat to "up under the dash"

That dark spot and the two pop rivets seems to look like a plate was there at some stage.

Having said that, I do not really understand why anyone would want to remove it......

I had a look at mine, nothing there either, no holes though. Would like to know what the 1308 behind the passenger seat is. Also note the OP showed "commercial vehicles", perhaps campers were in a different category, as it is none of the colours given.

All of those colours will be wrong for anything pre 1977.

I've got this sticker on my '75 but I can't find Crystal White anywhere. Can anyone shed some light on it for me? IMG_1550.JPG

Look here. It's the only white available in Australia around that time.

Howdy. Mine is the same mate, 75 with crystal white paint code behind the passenger seat.

Didnt they dip them in oz instead of spray?

I had the same problem, most paint companies do not have formulations available pre 1980. So you will need to eye match or locate some old data from somewhere. My suggestion is to eye match from somewhere original on your bus. Whether it is Antartica White or Crystal White I'm sure you want to preserve your original bus colour.

Does anyone know if anyone supplies replacement decals?

I'm looking for Chrystal white (566-15453) and also for Anthracite (L469)
