Keep drawing blanks hunting these down, so thought I'd ask here.

The rubber window seals for the front doors, top & rear, that come in one piece.

Seem to be plenty that don't suit doors with the Caravelle Chrome trim, part # 281837709.

But I'm after ones that do fit the Caravelle trim, part # 255837709.

May have to consider used ones in better condition that my current ones......:(

Cheers Phil, you are a champion. :)

So that is US dollars, and enough to do my 2 vehicles, requires 4 short lengths of rubber, totalling over A$400, plus shipping!

These "old bombs" are getting pricey, to keep respectable..........

Thats why most of us have moved away from the chrome trim as you can see its twice the price for rubber then you need the trim however in your case the S/S should be reusable.

The price I have to pay, to keep the cool Caravelle chrome bling I guess. ;)

Doubles the cost, when you lift a standard Transporter Single Cab, to the Caravelle level as well.

Im going through the process of getting new injectors sent from bus depot. I asked by email if there were any other shipping options and they came back with US$26 instead of $70. Worth asking the question mate :)

    Hi all,
Just reading this thread on window seals, has anyone sourced the caravelle window seals for the middle and rear side windows (with molding)?

I am looking to get new, and prefer to keep original (not the plain rubber ones). I see Bus depot list them, any other vendors have them?

Gunzl sell them separately, or in kit bundles.

You could always try second hand from UK or Northern Europe. Rubber lasts a long time there with minimal UV and they are always moist. A friend of mine is a VW parts importer and was bringing in Golf window rubbers. After washing them they were like new.
