Thanks for the encouragement David. Hadn't really thought about what we were doing but you're right ....if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. The more we do, the more KOH gets under our skin :)

LOL about colour blind friend. Although there is nothing wrong with purple, eh Judy? ;)

Will PM you re t-shirt. Cheers, Verity

Are you guys coming to Nimbin? It would be wonderful to see you all again :)

Please bear with two very mechanically / vehicularly challenged women . . . but will 1969 bumpers fit a 1972 model? If so, we will prostrate ourselves at your feet :D

Hey ho challenged women. I looked at your pics and they look very similar. I see Roy has a bumper that will fit your 72 model if you are only after the rear bumper. The pair I'm chasing looks like the front will need work but the rear bar looks ok.

I have to talk to Roy on another issue, so I'll ask and get back to you later today.

We thought we'd ask around first to see if anyone had a spare bumper hanging around and if not we would try the local wreckers and then Roy for a new one. Will have a look at Bus Stop website and see what he has . . . thanks for all your efforts Royce xxxx

Good luck with the hunt for the bumper girl..The front one you can use off any lowlight i think..But the rear ones are a one year only make..which means only brackets off a 72 will fit. Also the cars get wider from a earlier lowlight to 72.Youll find the bracket holes wont line up with the bumper holes. The earlier rear bumper brackets are longer an a different angle for the bumper. As yours is the change over model before the square bumpers an higher up square indicators.
    cheers chuck

Engine bay looked like this before overhaul

Sprayed the engine bay black on LHS. RHS needs new battery tray and LHS back panel is crumpled so might be ordering new bit from Roy

Back brakes finished and wheels about to go back on

So apart from the ball joints and reconnecting the heater hoses and controls, the underneath is DONE :)

And here is Megan and I at the Relay For Life Annual conference in Sydney proudly wearing our Kombi of Hope t-shirts :)

And, as we type the lads are out the back welding up the windscreen, fixing rusty bits, prior to welding on the lower outer winscreen panel . . . a few nerves about that job we think ;)

Will post more pics of that later on tonight. Now that the engine has been overhauled and is running and the wheels are back on, she can be moved in and out of the driveway so the back yard blitz might actually make some progress - I can almost hear the kids splashing in the pool . . . .

Woo hoo. Looking very shiney girls. Most impressive.

So, the big question is, are you going to bring KOH to Bonny Hills with you? Or is that a silly question? I dunno, I'm clueless. I only look to see shiney bits and think it MUST be nearly finished.
