:D Words of a fellow Labrador lover, Grant!
Paddy at 2 and Tallulah at 12 and both bring and receive much love and happiness as you could appreciate.
Any chance you might adopt again?

    Absolutely! :)

    Probably after September....

Work has sent me away from home more often than I wanted, since my gorgeous Lab passed on, but I’m aiming for that to settle down to just domestic trips, by September. ;)

Getting roo bar, back bar and rims sandblasted and powder coated.
Finding nothing wrong with the wider motor as previous owner put plug in steering colum wrong so I'm now putting it all back together after cleaning and lubing the shafts and put new seals in the wiper body holes, now it's just like brand new, even lubed/greased up the wiper switch (with white grease)
Fixed oil light, dash bulb surrounds needed cleaning and was not plugged into the engine sensor
let back tail gate latch sit in WD40 for a few days as it was tight and is now like new.

Now to clean the contacts on the fuse box and put glove box and stereo back in and put my new kick boards in

been spraying in the doors and everywhere I can find with Penetrol from Bunnings https://www.bunnings.com.au/wd-40-specialist-300g-rust-prevention-lanolin-lubricant_p0019345

Well, a couple of days old, but I got my Kombi back from my friends in North Belmont after putting 1,000k’s on the new motor with a trip up the coast to Foster on the weekend. I also discovered it takes 1.5 hours to put up a new tent when you don’t have to instructions. o_O
Went to Wollongong on Monday night and Elsie drove like a dream, then to the international terminal at Sydney Airport on Tuesday morning. Currently occupying a bay at the terminal before heading back to Wollongong on Friday to have the new cabinetry done. The last job in a 2 year rebuild, woohoo. :)

Amazing what some simple but thorough cleaning and lubing can achieve.
Most forget to look at things that still 'just ' work.
Certainly makes for a better bus and longevity.

Are you using penetrol or the lanolin. ?
Lanolin prob best for getting into rust and seams where you don't need to paint later.

    Nice work :)

Weekend away with BrokeBoys Club. Run to Lorne along Great Ocean Road for an overnight. HOT last night. Woke up to rain. Soon cleared for a run across the Otways stopping at tourist traps/winery etc. Kombi did not miss a beat. Ready to head North next week.
Awful driving conditions today. High gusty cross winds all the way home. Geelong Rd and Western Ring Rd not my favorites!
