Took it for a drive after rebuilding and replacing the clutch brake pedal cluster using the GoWesty bronze clevis bush. Just like or better than new. Smooth as silk and good for another 40 years.

Sadly yes. Everything has to go to get the pedals out. Instrument cluster, steering column, dash, everything.

Battery in and dack-dacking. All good.
Our last serious run was Easter Bus Stop and near home the passenger door window started to fail.
Pulled the trip off today and as expected the bracket on the bottom of the window had liberated itself.
Bit of corrosion and fatigue. Removed the rail from the glass and conscripted my welder to nail it back together.
Splash of paint and reassembled. Working OK. Will finish putting it all back tomorrow.

Not sure but certainly suffered from neglect. Let it go flat as a tack. Put the new battery in and all good. The old battery has taken a charge but not sure how good it will be. Handy to have lying around? Might use it to try to get the beetle project running in my spare time?

Setup as if we were camping……
Haven’t done this for ages, so thought it would be a good idea to make sure everything is as it should be…
All good and tinkered with a few bits n pieces……hopefully improved things.
    Next trip will tell !
    Cheers,

A couple of great improvements for awnings in this clip…
    It’s very ocker ….and quite funny…

I’ve done the one to my spreader bar…used to be straight, now as in the clip.
Great improvement and only needed to sacrifice one (redundant) tent pole I had .
    Highly recommend it.
    Cheers,

Fun day today installing new window winder mechanism on the drivers and passenger doors. All good and even had time to set up my GPS tracker which gives a little peace of mind. :)

While I had door trim off had a play with the door prop. Eventually managed to get it to hold the door open! Splash of fish oil and let it breath. Need an inside scraper rubber. Thought I had one somewhere??
