Had the brakes and shocks replaced all round on the SAAB a couple of weeks ago. On the weekend, awful grinding and squeaking sounds emitted from the rear wheels, like pads dragging on the discs.

Took it back to them yesterday, and they discovered the wrong pads were fitted - same shape, but incorrect clips!

    Replaced and sorted (hopefully). o_O

Found that I had lost the lens from my drivers side tail light on the Touareg the other week - don't know how it happened but got one from ebay 2nd hand from Canberra and it arrived today while I was at work - fitted up tonight - all good again.

Found a dog in the CRv while giving it an interior clean  ...... Border Collies do know how to drop hair ;) ...... on the rear seat there is a waterproof seat cover that reaches to the floor, then on top of it a sheet & then a towel but the hair can still find it's way onto the upholstery

Just got back from Toyota here in Alice, told them my problem and they removed wheel and cleaned all up and said you have a faint axle seal leak, I says yep that’s what I told you. So they put it all back together and said don’t have part in stock as last time needed was in 2017, but we can get out of Darwin and fit next week , I said I be in Darwin next Friday, he said get fixed there then. Charged me $140 for the visit.

They must have a hearing issue Brian ..... Service @ Honda or Toyota I say "NO washer additive" - go back to collect and guess what  ..... that's right the invoice shows washer additive  I will admit it took 6 services for them to finally get it right & refund for additive cost @ next service.
Then there was the door actuators on the CRv .... told them issue with drivers door as it's the main actuator so as reported before Honda agree to do under warranty as previously reported and no fault found ..... booked in and go collect & they've done the passenger side  coz it was where they found the fault .... 2 days later nothing so back on to them to recheck and guess what  oh it's the drivers door so then got both drivers side done ..... hey they work :D as does the central locking :p

I’d be penning a strongly worded letter to Toyota Service about that.....
Hope the rest of your trip is less costly.
