Go with the flow Chris. Best Wishes..
You'll be so rested when they let you out that you won't believe it!
Looking forward to catching up soon. And checking out the new wheels.
looking forward to having a beer with you at Dubbo (or a frilly non alco pop if you can't have one)
Positive thinking will get you over the hump
Although I don't need to mention that as I can see your karma from your earlier posts.
So sorry to hear of your prolonged stay Chris.
The staff, well most of them, in our hospitals are saints......as you mentioned, they are under so much pressure to work long shifts, sometimes doubles, that we mere mortals do not see the total picture.
All you can do is trust their judgements.....and go with it.....hard at the time but they will see facts and not much else.
All the very best for a speedy recovery.....look forward to seeing you, your walking staff and your shiny Caddy at Dubbo.
All the best mate,
Thanks Mark .
Thanks to all at the KCLUB for their genuine concern..
It has meant a lot to me knowning they do care .
I will be taking Kombi to the B/ST this year ,not the Caddy ,as i am still not to sure about the conversion side of things just yet.Definatly looking forward to it this year with Carolyn .
Replaced all of the fuses with the correct 8A (white) ones.
Then changed some of the wiring to the correct colours.
And took it for a drive.
Can’t wait to catch up again mate, stay well ole fulla
& we do Chris. Been thinking of you through your loss of partner & your current loss of bits of your body. Stay tough friend & look forward to a Dubbo catch up.
Had a meeting in Melbourne on Friday, so flew down Friday and back home Saturday.
Looked up taxi fares from the airport to the city, and it was going to be around $60 each way........... then looked at a basic car rental, and it was just $71, for less than 24 hours - no brainer!
Had time this morning to visit Albert Park, and I found preparations were well underway, even this far out. Didn’t get Pole position, but was really nice to park the rental on the front straight, before the 2020 F1 season kicks off next month!
Correct as in ceramic ? I thought they were a bit hard to find now ?
I had a box of them. Made in Germany too.
We are looking forward to seeing you too & meeting Carolyn. Travel safe take your time see you soon xx
Will you be bringing it to Berry
Drove it to the the Bradman Museum for vintage car Sunday. It's a good event if you are in the area or live in SW Sydney etc.
There was original '54 single cab there that the owner is trying to sell. That's got to be rare.
The VW infotainment system won't defeat me ..... have tried to update the GPS software and after reading forum information and discussions tried the VW DiscoverCare which does a backup and is supposed to download the latest = failed so restored via Discover Care and got it back so happy. Tried the older method of download onto the new Windows 10 desktop = failed so sat back for a few days and beers then thought the old clunker is out with Windows 7 so cranked it up yesterday and ventured to the VW download site once again ...... got the 4.5gb file downloaded = giddyup then lets un zip it it worked with a couple of different files but test will be when I remove the SC CDA card from the GTI40 copy the files then insert it back in and play with it by putting in some addresses . IF the card with the new files doesn't give me a "insert card with valid information" message then we should be right
At least I'll get to sit in it and insert the USB drive with the 1700 songs ....... something about that new car smell
No wonder radio was an extra in early beetles
Hi Bert ,its official,
Going home tomorrow the Dr said im ok to go home but still have drain in .That will be attended to by the HSS nursing .,if im able ,will get Caddy in afternoon or Tuesday morn..
Good to hear Chris!
Did you happen to ask the Dr about when you should be able to drive again?
I've just let the dealer do it while it is warranty and then it wont get updated.
It may be like Tom Tom with lifetime maps. You can update it a few times then it says memory full.
Yes i did.
When the drain tube comes out then i can drive again .He cant see any reason apart from that why i should not drive..i also told him i would take it easy and not work in shed for a week ,he said if u want to work in shed just do it , yr all good to go .,,,yeah,,,,beauty cant wait to see my kombi again.Almost 3 weeks since i seen it.almost a lifetime ....lol
