Well, I was back down in Tharwa last weekend for another round of knife making.
This was a 2.2 day course.
A couple of hours Friday night and 2 full days after.
This was the Slip Joint Folding Knife course.

Turned at at Grant's Hotel expecting a lazy evening - until we found out that they were doing the Friday evening bit.
Grant provided miracles and fed, watered and packed lunch all in time for us to attend our lesson.
Wasnt anywhere near as cold as last time (-5 degrees) but it was still brisk

This course was with my 2 oldest sons and we got to make 2 knives each.
Whilst a lot of fun - it pushes the skill set deep within

This was a "stock removal" method rater than a forging method.

Was still great fun, good bit of father son stuff for my 60th and certainly made me happy.

Well done lads! :) They look great!

And a pleasure to catch up again Barry, and meet your sons. Would have joined you for more drinks and food on Saturday night, if I wasn’t in Berry. ;)

Wow, sorta like "Forged in fire" that was on SBS a while back. Looks like a great time to be had, very well presented knifes and a great skill set to add to the list when WW3 or the Zombie Apocalypse strikes

Great score. My happy moment today was when the seller of the car I'm buying messaged me to say the money appeared in his bank .... took 2 days and a rather restless nights sleep, but all good now. Just need to get some sense out of the RMS as to the rules about towing an out of rego car on a Gypsy trailer .... the rear wheels are on the grounds so ..... A tow truck can tow an unregistered vehicle just hitched up by the front or rear ...... but that doesn't mean anything when it comes to bureaucratic shiny bums making the rules as they go eh
Maybe an unregistered vehicle permit just to be sure, then my butt would be covered for the trip through NSW, Vic and SA on the way home ..... but then an unregistered vehicle permit only covers for the most direct route and that isn't the plan for the trip home .....
