Yes, I suppose there is ,but we are all guilty of doing that ,but that's what the site is all about, who went where and why , who did what ,what they saw so there is so much more in there as well Rick ,you yourself have given valuable mechanical info to others in need and helped out people like my self who had nowhere else to go to get a problem fixed.
The beauty of a site like this is the mix of everthing for everybody.
I know I am biased but this mixed info site and it's members are are great.miss it when it's down.love it when it's back.
    Cheers all

You know if it wasn't for the kombi club I would not have been to all those great towns and met all those top people that I have .
Sorry just my ranting on .:(:D

You’re not ranting Chris, many of us here feel exactly the same way…….and why we stay.
If I took umbrage with every post I disagreed with, I’d be an axe murderer by now ! :D
I think Grant has coined the perfect, one word response to a any potentially offensive post…..whether intentional or not, posted in jest……or otherwise.
    “Whoosh….”
Straight through to the keeper, no more response required…….;)
    Love it.
It’s everyone’s choice to stay or leave, however I think once we recognise that this place is no different to walking through a pub and hearing different people’s discussions and comments, the better.
I mean, would anyone really stop at every table/stool in a bar and take offence at their discussion ?
Maybe, but there would be a lot of very pi55ed off patrons and many fights unnecessarily started….and indeed, that has happened here a couple of times.
    Me….? I prefer to walk past the stuff I don’t like………..;)
    Cheers,
    Mark

“Whoosh”, is the sound that a post makes, as it passes me by when it’s not worth having a bat at it, and goes straight through to the keeper. :D

Having the electricity come back on at 2.30pm today made me happy. Phenomenal winds most of yesterday, and overnight, caused a power failure at 2am.

Nothing like 12+ hours of no power, to remember & appreciate just how useful it is. Especially when the house relies on an electric pump to even get water into the house…..

Yes, I do have a generator tucked away incase, but avoided dragging it out and set up all the associated power leads, for showers, cooking etc, until it became absolutely necessary. (I did fire it up with a kettle plugged in, just to make some vital coffee though).

Have you considered a small solar array, feeding a battery pack and an inverter, Grant?
Not so much for the entire house….you have your generator for that …..but more for your coffee machine.
As tragic and “first world” as it sounds, proper coffee is a necessity in the morning !
    Cheers,
    Mark
