A nice THICK oil helps to keep our air cooled babies cooler..
Stay away from your normal 20-50w grades.
Fine an oil of a RATING of 30.....min

Andrew, what is the weight of the Mobil 1 V twin?

I know that Mobil 1 is a VERY thin oil.

If you have some leaky seals buy a seal re-juvenator. I think Wynns makes a additive.

I was even thinking of using castrol 4T mower oil. This oil is specially made for aircooled motors.

I've run ace 30 in all my VW's for nearly two years now seems to be good gear but not easy to get hold of.
