I'm in! Despite not having actually collected my kombi yet. Hmm... top of the "must do" list for when I return to Australia in a few weeks. Powered site booked and confirmed, but no site number provided at this time. I've emailed and asked for one. And no, I couldn't book online from overseas either (Dingostrategy), but I figure it will be worth the international phone call involved just to be able to talk "kombi" for a whole weekend with people who will still think I'm sane...

    Jay,

The syncro is back and running well again - only took 4 weeks to source the part in Australia we needed (bloody AFI (Australian Fuel Injection) - they had the part the whole time and kept giving us the wrong sensor).

I have a whole new dizzy on the way from the US (supposed to be here Tuesday), so that is going in along with a more waterproof plug to ensure off-road adventures dont kill the electrics anymore.

My brother and his girls are very keen and we all booked last year so were are in! My brother is a blouse and is going a cabin for this one. I think Old Bar scared him off camping @ VW events due to our consistent crap weather.

I thought you were the boss anyway Jay - just tell Neen she is coming!

    Not scared are you??

    Cheers,

I've booked but couldnt manage to do it online so I don't know my site. Anyway I'm solo (well, Seb the dog will come and stay in a kennel somewhere) and on a powered site. Looking forward. the journey is half the fun as ever, so looking forward to seeing what the melbourne crew come up with in terms of a konvoy. I feel it might be time to trade up my pullback racer which was both slow and inaccurate. And yet I feel loyal to it.

Who is the other South Australian coming? Edit: Ah I spot him.. JD...

I'm waiting not so patiently for the first week of uni to discover what assignments I'll have hanging over my head.

As it looks like I have to exclude myself, coz of other commitments.......:(

But I really want to day-trip it to Narooma, to catch up with all you awesome people..... Which day would you recommend?

I was thinking Saturday, but can swap things and do it Sunday, if that would be better?

Are you planning any lunch / cruise outings, or the like?

I'll bring other Kombi lovers for the day.......;)

It won't be a brekkie visit....more lunchtime onward type stuff.

If you still want eggs then, I can bring you a dozen of the best home grown, free range, organic, closest to nature eggs you've ever tasted! ;)

But seriously, is Sunday the go, over Saturday?

Saturday is the day where we are getting over the drive from Friday and getting ready for the Saturday night dress up. Sunday is usually when we go for a Kombi Cruise - after the kids have done the easter egg hunt in the morning.

So Sunday is the cruise, and Judy doesn't want to socialize - hangover perhaps?

How about I don't rock up till after 11, and maybe Judy will be able to exchange pleasantries.....

And still on about those eggs - farm fresh, or production chocolate numbers?

In the words of the now hopeful redhead politician for NSW:

    PLEASE EXPLAIN!

    :)
