Any one else use this app?

When I was on my road trip some one showed it to me. Brilliant

    Now I have
    1. Camping With Dogs - shows us the general area of where we want to go.
    2. Harley Davidson Road Atlas - shows us the back roads of how to get there and where the cool country pubs are
    3. Wiki Camps - alternative sites and feed back.
    4. GPS - to get there
between these we found many great places to camp.
    my priorities were
    1. could take a dog
    2. fire place
    3. hot water
    4. shower
    5. toilet
    6. free
    What do others use?

Wiki camps is brilliant and blows away camps8 at about one tenth the price. The only reason you would carry the book now is for when you are out of mobile phone reception. And if you are that remote and can't find somewhere to camp, you are probably blind.

Or if you are in Tasmania and have Vodafone - because you don't have to be remote to have no signal

I use wiki camps and find it brilliant. I have downloaded the app to my Acer android pad (10") which means I can use it off line as we travel to places where only a sat phone can be used. You only need to have coverage to get updates or post information about a site. Note I can use the Acer to navigate as it has built in GPS but still prefer entering the data in to the Garmin. Maybe a cradle of some sort for the Acer is the way to go.

Agree. I also need to know where we can camp with a dog. It also appears to need internet access and not operate off line which for me is not an option.
