Here's my kids with the project.
A couple doing work on the cargo door locks, the other pointing out the spider nests in the engine bay, and restoring the cab floor mat.
Guess I can't take credit for the resto!

Here are some photo's of my gorgeous little girl with my Kombi, Daisy. The first photo is of her coming home from hospital at 4 days old in her Dads Kombi. What a lucky girl - only 10 months old and already got 2 kombi's!!!

Damien, if we do go for an LPG conversion, the back row are yours if you want them.

And jeez, Kom123 (sorry, I've forgotten your name), how many kids do you actually have!!!

    Picture post of children

    Hi! All you Kombi Lovers.
What a great show of children and their love for Kombi's. I think its great that it is being passed down to the younger generation. We did'nt get the chance to do anything like this when I was a child, but I'm sure making the best of it now. My grandson Ronald is really into it. He is only nine and allready got his own beetle and can drive it around the paddock. Only one thing he has to sit on somebody's lap because his legs are not long enough to reach the peedles, they will grow in time. I will have to find my photo's and put them on.
Keep up the good work all you busy kombi kids.

    Lynn and Ronald.

She loves helping with the resto and is pretty handy with an orbital sander.

    $10.00 Kid

Well as i said in an earlier post, my 17 yr old wont be in a photo opportunity so I have gone and bought a $10.00 Kid from St Vinnies - one who does as he is told.

He wouldn't smile though so I stuck him on the windscreen hoping for the wind to change his face. Mmmm not a bad Kid really - I called him Spud!!!

    I hope I only have 3!!!

Glad there are no photos of my first Kombi trip, it was in 1976 or 1977 when I was 8 or 9 years old and my friend's mum took a bunch of us to Luna Park in the Microbus. Last ride for the day was the old Rotor. Unfortunately I decided to try and squeeze in a couple of ice creams beforehand and subsequently gave the Bus an impromtu respray on the way home! :O

"Spud" is that the noise a child makes when you run into them on a pedestrian crossing at 90km/h?
