That could possibly be my old camper. Her name is Cheryl....lovely TRAKKA fitout. Sold it to her about 3.5 years ago after she lost her previous one (fire) and was desperate for an auto.
And you sold it WITH the roof rack Borgey?? Tsk..Tsk. Now where can I get a genuine roof rack from? Cheers
Yeah crossed my mind to keep but all the pics I sent her had it on it so was part of the deal. Would’ve liked the front flipper quarters too.
Ours was named Basil when we got it. But my wife and I agreed that she needed a girls name. So after much thinking we called her Doris! Kind of a nickname that my mother calls my sister(even though her name is Sarah).
Blitz was renamed from the previous owners who name him "Flash". As he was German built his name was translated to the fatherland much to the little ladies dismay as it conjures up visions of the bombing of England.
Before! Had Tassie rego on her when we got her. I ordered the plates to match the name Doris 77 Kombi!
Mine all have names - Yellow Van - Yellow 1989 T3 High Top - 1989 High Top The Air Cooled - Blue & White 1982 Camperize Pop Top White Caravelle - 1991 White Caravelle T3
Katie Denise is the name of my kombi.... Katie comes from the actual first name of a UK glamour model called Jordan. Denise is the first name of a UK actress called Denise Welch, after her divorce she used to get quite involved with the beers and younger men and was always over the newspapers on being worse for wear... so what does that all have to do with my kombi? Well it all came down to the rigidness of the gearbox at the time.... or more honestly the slackness of the box... I'll get my coat.....
Borat Hemsworth Because Borat is very ugly now but after a lot of work will be as good looking as a Hemsworth
My wife loves dolphin things and we have about a thousand dolphin themed things and figurines in the house and garden. Then we found and brought our 76 camper and it was flipper blue. So it was a no brainer that it was always going to be known as flipper
"Miles" , cause he was 1,000 miles away in Coffin bay S.A. and the manager of the electrical place, that fixed up the blinkers was named Miles. Plus when pulled up at his shop, the front wall was lime green in colour
