Nice! and pretty with the curtains.
I finally painted the wheels
I used the same paint as the roof. I’ve just repaired and painted the front bumper too. Pics to follow
That really smartens them up nicely,
Nice ..... fresh paint on the rims worth the time as they compliment the rest of your Kombi
I now have the front bumper back on. It was pretty buckled and bent. I managed to smack it back sort of straight and used some body filler to get some of the creases out.
Couldn’t justify spending the $300 dollars or so a new one right now. It’s not perfect, but pretty good!
That’s what it’s all about
Looks great to me.
Looks great to me too!
And, it won’t be as painful if some incompetent driver, bumps into it, attempting to park.
Bumpers aren't the softest metal to reshape ...... strangely enough though they can be dented relatively easily
Done a good job on it
Finally got all the glass back in. I had a mobile windscreen guy recommended to me who was great - he was familiar with kombis and has done a lot of old cars. I’m glad I went down this route, as I was going to have a crack at it myself (pardon the pun).
He made it look easy for the most part, but still required a lot of brute force and manipulating for a couple of them. The windscreen was the quickest and easiest of the lot.
I went with WCM rubbers for most of them with a couple of WW ones too.
Looks great with the windows in .
Looks good with glass in, Is it all done know or more to be done on the inside?
wowee that colour is a beauty!!
You’d have to be happy with that result for all your effort!
Thanks for all your comments
I painted up the rear bumper and got that back on. A few dents on it like the front one, but it’ll do for now until I find another one in better nick.
Front badge is back on now as well. The final piece of the puzzle! I know it’s an early model badge, but it’s what was on it when I bought it and I don’t mind. It was painted, so I sanded it back to metal and buffed and polished it.
I drained the fuel tank and did an oil change as it had been sat unused for the last 6 months. Batteries charged. The old girl started up beautifully. Needless to say, I had a big smile on my face driving it home
