Somewhere I really want to go back too, and drive around.

Been there several times, but only during the Formula One weekends, so I really want to see what it’s like, when the “F1 circus” is not in town. ;)

I ended up driving around the lake yesterday. It wasn't planned, I just had trouble getting to the St Kilda Rd exit! It was a nice drive though!

I assume the 100 metre and 50 metre braking signs are not there, to know just when to slow from 320kph to 90kph for the corners?

Ha ha! No, they were not there! I didn't even get up to 90 k/hr travelling down the freeway yesterday...

Albert's glove box was looking a bit sad. It had a big hole in the back and was a bit frayed around the edges. So... I got my paper mache skills on and patched up the hole. Then I found some 70-esque, orange material and covered the inside. Then I got a bit more carried away and covered the whole outside with one of my old aviation maps. I'm pretty happy with how it looks. :) Sorry to the purists, orange is the new black. :D:p

You have done well ,I've been looking for wrinkles:oops: in it but I can't see one:rolleyes::). I'm a purist but I rather you have done that to safe a glove box then throwing it in the bin :eek:and buying a plastic one:D

I am nothing if not resourceful :)
Ha ha! :p Might have to put my sunglasses on when I open it up.
It's not perfect, there's a couple of wrinkles inside where I used too much glue. I really didn't want to buy a plastic one!

I also like yellow. :) And kombi's can be repainted. Having said that, I think Albert is going to end up blue. :D
