Yesterday I went to Bribie, to get my brake booster replaced. I rolled up at Conti Engines and saw Hamish's bus sitting next door at German Engineering waiting for him to collect it when he got back from Mackay. This was a surprise to me. It turned out he was also getting a new booster fitted. I went in for a film at Bribie Island cinemas, went back to collect my car, and then found out my master cylinder was stuffed, and was filling my brake booster right up with fluid! (not good). So we had to order a new master cylinder, which wouldn't be there until the morning. This left me screwed for getting to work at Redcliffe that night.. pub(L)ic transport to Redcliffe was going to take hours! Then, a revelation hit me... I called up my dearest friend Hamish and gave him my whole sob story to finally be met with a statement something along the lines of "sure, borrow my car - no problem!" WOO! I organized it with German Engineering and was on my way.. ... until I tried to fill up his empty fuel tank, only to realise he had a locking fuel cap with a key i didn't have! Luckily, after finding a pay phone (mobile was outta battery), Hamish had the good news that the key was in his ash tray! Hamish got back late last night. I picked him up this morning, we went to the beach, and then got our cars back... and we all lived happily ever after!
