    I am also trying to establish what that road sign means. They are not used anymore. Anybody know?

    Leo that is a great photograph, I think the sign being on the side of a cliff is an old style No Entry sign..
    Looks like your Dad had the Barndoor Painted Green at some point ?

    Here's another pic I found you posted of it a few weeks ago... Love this pic..

    Hi Simon - I'm the little guy in green sitting on my mother's lap. And that's the way we travelled: my dad drived, my bigger sister in the middle, (sitting beside me in the photo), then me sitting on my mothers lap. Lucky that a 54 vw was so safe, with great brakes and front protection, and no seatbelts getting in the way:lol:
