Had an email from KrisFlyer, informing me that Singapore Airlines are resuming flights to Australia, and tickets for their “Vaccinated Travel Lane” flights are going on sale.

One of the clauses of travel states:

    • Visitors will also need to secure travel insurance, with a minimum coverage of S$30,000 for Covid-19-related medical treatment and hospitalisation costs, prior to travel to Singapore.
Not sure how expensive that policy would be to take out, assuming one is actually available…..o_O

I don't care what the regulations are, I'll still be wearing a mask where I think it is necessary.

With more traffic it is getting harder to do. Anything over 160kmh feels fast. At 190kmh the exit signs come up faster than you can read them.

    Most people sit on 160kmh.

Just went to Repco to buy HPR30 which is on special.

Sign on front door. "Due to Covid restrictions we cannot accept cash or card. Please order online for click and collect". What a load of BS. Funny how Repco have different restrictions to Supercheap.

Ring Joanne get her to order online. No, everytime you try to order the price goes up by $20. OK, while I am out front of Repco and order over the phone and 20 minutes later he brings it out to the carpark. What a way to run a business.

You did better than me Phill……
I went to my local Repco a couple of weeks ago to get a few bits n pieces and was confronted by the same situation.
Fella would not take my order, or process a payment and told me to order and pay online and then he’d bring it out.
Fortunately, I’d had my second coffee and my phone was behaving and it all went through in 5 min.
    However, I agree……what a f’n way to run a business…..o_O
There were others that turned up and just got back into their (expensive) cars……..
    Dollars driving away…..
    Cheers,

Was it $31 for loyalty members or RACV/NRMA members?

No $31 special as per the web page. Check out total at bottom $55. Try it. You don't have to enter card details.
    Tomorrow is the last day.

So today is the day, the interstate and international borders open…………

It was always planned to happen, but there is some comfort that the ACT starting point, is close to 94% of the population over 12 fully vaxxed, just 5 new cases, and only 170 current active cases.

As opposed to Vic situation, of just over 80% of their population over 16 fully vaxxed, 1471 new cases, and 21,959 current active Covid cases!

We have to roll with it, and see what happens I guess…..

    The proverbial hits the fan.
A good time for medical staff to hit up for decent wage rises. ;)

A freeze on politicians pay rises for 5 yeas should fund plenty of essential workers pay rises
