I hope a decent example of the 3rd generation Kombi appears for the day, to hold up the last rear engined Kombi T3 flag.

I can see they are keen to show off the T6.1, and have T1 Splitties to show the classic history, but it would be nice to have at least one of each generation, to display the full story. ;)

It was late notice given by VWA to the Sydney based VW club, for people to attend. There was plenty of notice given on the surfing website at which I wouldn't look for such notices.
It would be good and in there own interest(VW) to show case the history of the commercial vehicle through the generations.
    Photos will do;).

Done my bit in the '80s and '90s. Taking the T3 down to Cronulla to collect salt water for the marine aquarium.

Hoping the animal in Cronulla is a different kind then Manly:eek::confused:;) It's the general public that aren't car loving people :(can be an issue with public displayed car events.

    Enjoy the day....
    We won’t be attending.
Too many close calls with the general public at Manly and with C19 thrown into the mix, have decided to shelve the idea.
I’m actually surprised that the event is still on.......
    Cheers,
    Mark

So I'm I! Larger corporations seem to get away with things.o_O We are all in this together.
It could be like the Nth Sydney to Bondi kombi rally they had for the Beach boys promotions, as the organisers didn't actually organise any paper work for the gathering of 60 kombis in Nth Sydney area. plus didn't look into Nth Sydney Cricket ground having the finals on as well. The organisers expected 60 kombis to drive in convoy from Nth Sydney to Bondi, not going to happen in Sydney traffic:eek:
