CV JOINT - NON VW PART

    Hi All,

    Is it possible/ ok to use a non VW CV joint?

    From the image would I need to replace the drive shaft as well?

    The best ones are Lobro/GKN and you don’t need to replace the shafts unless they are damaged

    Dont go for the cheap versions either as they will fail after a few thousand km. (suzukisuper on ebay for example) Many members have tried. They are quite easy to replace and there is a stick thread on this forum about how to do them too. The originals last for ages if you keep the grease up to them, so I would get the new ones to replace the terminal ones, then get replacement boots for the rest, clean them, grease them and away you go.

    The friend of CV's is a waterproof boot & good grease;). They last forever (if you do this:D)& 200,k if they're Lobro:p.
