Before i start pulling them apart, can someone give me a clue as to why i have my front calipers skipping off the disc. When your driving around slowly with the window down there is this constant squeak coming from the brakes. If i tap the brakes ever so slightly the noise goes away. But comes back as soon as you take your foot off.
Any reason why the pistons are not retracting far enough? The squeak does change as you corner also? Possible play in the front wheel bearings maybe?

MMMM i HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. i THINK ITS DUE FOR A CALIPER KIT . tHE PISTONS MUST BE RELUCTANT TO RETRACT ( i HATE cAP LOCK), perhaps ther e is wear in the bore or they most probably are gummed up. BTW I bought a Girling rebuild kit for my ATE brakes which is useless so if you have girling you can have this one for $15 , good qyualoity OEM girling.Mitchell
