Aerial from my 72 beetle fitted my T3 so it should fit a Kombi :) :p :D and you may be surprised as to what other small and somewhat insignificant things - internal light door switch for one - part numbers may change ever so slightly but they fit and work.

Find a reputed and trusted VW parts supplier and go from there - don't be afraid to take parts from a similar year beetle and try to fit them on your kombi - you may be surprised.

    I don't think that they had 1600tp on a '76.

No parts are for a split screen car unknown at this stage. That's why i was hoping some parts maybe universal.

okay will bay parts fit a splitty??? my origional idea was if bettle drive line and motor was the same (would have been way to easy) to buy a cheap bettle for these parts to fit the kombi. i have a splitty as of today that is of need f these things and more. yes yes i should have thought of my question now i think of it a lot better lol. any ways. exitment always gets the better of me.

split more compatible but will leave it to the split guys who have done it.

generaly use beetle boxes n shafts to get rid of the reduction gears and the motor will go in as its supported with a cradle

narrowed bay beams and rear modified parts from late bay can also be used

few kits and modified parts available

thank you cbus. as one can imagine very overwhelmed with info etc and lack of knowledge. i have some photos of the split trying to find out year etc but computer crashed and is being fixed as on mobile phone. small pointy indicators from my knowledge small back window way smaller than a bay, large engine lid but that's missing vents are at bottom rear panels at rear and steering wheel has two prongs.

    Slow n easy.
It will make sense and theres plenty of split guys on the forum who have done mods in a few different ways.
Some will have preferred ways but I would suggest take it all in first and understand the reasons for particular choices before deciding . Not all mods are an improvement in my opinion.

Ian[ tinbits] has done a couple of different ways that work up here

    cheers
