Hi guys, the Kombi crew were well represented this year with a huge turnout from the T3s with their own category. Was lovely to catch up again for those of us who couldn’t get out to Stanthorpe. Here’s an extract from the Winners List for the Kombis but the full list can be found here: http://www.blbvw.org.au/club-runs F: BEST STANDARD KOMBI (BAY WINDOW) - Sponsor: MICK MOTORS COREY S; 1978 in TEAL/PEARL WHITE/CREAM G: BEST MODIFIED KOMBI (BAY WINDOW) - Sponsor: CUSTOM VEE DUB KEN SMITH; 1973 in ORANGE H: BEST STANDARD KOMBI (SPLIT WINDOW) - Sponsor: CUSTOM VEE DUB ABBAS KH; 1966 in BROWN/WHITE I: BEST MODIFIED KOMBI (SPLIT WINDOW) - Sponsor: CUSTOM VEE DUB IAN ELLIOTT; 1958 in BLUE/WHITE} Q: BEST RAT - Sponsor: DRT AUTOMOTIVE BOB MORROW; 1963 KOMBI SINGLE CAB in RED/RUST R: BEST CAMPER - Sponsor: DAS RESTO PARTS NERINE HOOPER; 1974 KOMBI in TEAL S: BEST T3 - Sponsor: T3OA/BRICKWERKS JOHN TILLY; 1990 KOMBI in CAMO PRESIDENTS CHOICE - Sponsor: BAD LITTLE BUG-GERS VW CLUB CORINNE BAIN; 1972 KOMBI CAMPER in MINT GREEN
Some of them bug-gered (see what I did there?) off early, but here are the ones I was able to arrange the photo session with. I will be loading all of these to the BLBVW site later this week.
I left before the trophies were awarded ☹️ Well done everyone , I’m still waiting to receive mine !!!
Organisers I'm sure will be in contact as they need to surface and take a breath after organising and packing up for a regroup. As plenty of trophy winners had gone it's a case of working their way through the completed forms and maybe deciphering some handwriting to make contact ...... postage will also take some time if they can't find someone to drop it in to you ..... happens every year
Got the rest of it Gordon D & good on you for accepting the position. Got the VWQldClub. Now just working the BLB. Is it 'BlurB' being the media adviser? Or Bloody Last Bolkswagen? Cheers
If anyone has 5 minutes to spare, we are looking for feedback on the event to see what we can improve: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MK8RWK6 Cheers
