2 Hour drive south west for this event after overcast on the bay and sighting cloud on the hill before the challenge of going up the range only to be greeted by sunshine and things in full swing @ 9.15am (start time was 9.00am). Barely got out of Paddy and before I could walk around to passenger side after being greeted by VZR69 (Greg) then someone wanting to know if I wanted a Type3 towbar - ah no but I'll consider . Finally get to passenger side and old dubber pulls up behind me in his Mk1 Golf - greetings passed and then more talkers while I'm trying to work out where I put the car keys, find them & escape to hear you said the camera wasn't coming out of the bag and there's Stu - ah well have to please some BUT sorry pictures will have to wait until I get around to down/upping them . Very well planned and attended event so compliments to the KlubVW committee. For Marcus a thumbs up out the window as he passed me in the 69VWU followed by the camper on the highway home - mmmmm some k's down the road passed them - it was me in the Irish Green Type3 in case you wondered who it was . Was great to get out to a new event, catch up with friends and long time no see people - Paddy enjoyed the highway cruising but less favourable with city traffic and bloody traffic lights up Gympie Rd.
