Its funny how some days just dont work out the way you expect.

I waited at Hungry Jacks at Belmont North but no one joined me for the cruise down to East Gosford. Oh well, I went anyway. There was a great turn out at Pauls and the bacon rolls went down well with everyone.

Thanks Paul for the sway bar too!

Nice cruise from Pauls to The Haven - unfortunately the lovely weather also bought out lots of people so we were very limited for parking. After being there for about 3 minutes, my phone rings and its Jon Ward - stuck on the side of the road with no tools on his way back from Stockton. The pin has come out of his clutch cable/clutch pedal and he has no clutch. He is near Catherine Hill Bay. So with Chuck's tool kit, I head off to help out and also head home. I quickly made sure every one got some slice and then shoot off.

I meet up with him and after a couple of minutes another kombi owner pulls up (only he was driving his Golf). James only lived a few minutes away at Lake Munmorah so he went home and got a bolt, some washers and wire. James' Kombi is off the road after hitting a roo. You are a knight in a white Golf!

So they get it sorted and I say goodbye.

Unfortunately I didnt take one single photo but I am sure there will be others posted.

Sorry Geoff - I forgot to give you a Kombi Club sticker  I will give it to you at Old Bar.

    Wasn't your day Melissa.

Pleased that Jono got his Kombi sorted.

Another fun day out with the Kombi, and other enthusiasts. Great weather, some interesting chats at the East Coast Kombi VW workshop. Thanks Paul !!

Good to see everyone and meet up with many newcomers too.

Quite right Jay, for shame Mr.Ward!!!!;)
Perhaps you should put together a post about the essential tools to be carried at ALL times.
Thanks for the help yesterday Melissa, not with Jon but with the phone numbers.:)

Thanks to Paul for organising a great get together.
The bacon rolls went down a treat followed by a fantastic cruise from Gosford to The Haven at Terrigal.
The weather was really kind allowing us to have a picnic and bbq and the children even had a dip.....still too cold for me!

I wish it were mine, I have to have a job before I can afford to do up a splitty.

Looks like I missed another good cruise. I've been without a computer as well as no kombi. Maybe next time. Good to see so many kombis...all looking good too.
