    Hi VWers,

Ive recently bought quality front door seals from Das Resto. im about to tackle it. Ive read some good info on other posts however im assuming that once i remove the pin (see Pic) i will be able to remove old seal and replace with new. Yes? Just trying to forsee problems before they happen. Anyone done this. Straight forward?

    Yes - that is correct.

I have not done it on my T3 or Bay but I have done it on several beetles.

Biggest problem is that they can be oversized and make the door stick out.

@rstucke did something on this in one of his posts.
See if I can find it or Rick might chime in.

When you remove the rubber the section of rubber around the check strap, there is a little metal clip that helps hold the rubber in place in the square hole from where the check strap comes out off. It may either stay connected to the door or the rubber, depends if the rubber has ever been replaced before.
