I'm with you M. I'll be camping "on the inside"!! I figure if I'm driving for about 9 hours with 3 ferals by myself, I deserve a cabin and a rather large glass of wine when I get there.

Bugger the whole setting up camp etc. thing!!

Right! Little Debbie was dropped off at the mechanic this morning for a full going over before her trip later in the week. I'm excited and also very nervous as to what they're going to find - excited, 'cause it'll be interesting to see what has to be done, or what should be tended to; and nervous about what has to be done, or what should be tended to. If that makes sense! Best be getting the credit card dusted off, me thinks...

So without trying to sound too negative and put a spoil on the whole trip, that is the only hurdle that I can see before setting off on Friday morning - Little Debbie getting a satisfactory result from her 'full service' today. *fingers crossed*

Yes, I'm very predictable Kel! :p

Went and check the tyres today - Lola's spare tyre was completely flat, so a good thing to have it checked. I'll have the sexiest looking spare tyre there is by the time they've finished with it!!

Lola was on the way home from getting some new head unit installed, and I got a frantic call from Andrew. Lola has stopped, motor stalled, no dash power, nothing.

Called NRMA, they found him on the side of the road (20 km from town mind you) and after complaining that the battery lead was too loose (who knew?) it turned out to be an inline fuse that had come loose when the head unit was installed this arvo.

Fired up first go and away she went. All good. I will look at it further in the light but we are still going in the old girl (but Thursday is 3 days away yet!)

Laine is insisting on sleeping in the kombi- she has told us almost every time anyone mentions Bonny Hills. We will be in the cabin and she will be out in her tin tent.

Actually come to think of it - she was telling anyone who would listen before we even bought the bay that she was going to be sleeping in a kombi at our next Bus Stop only back then, she was going to be sleeping in Andy and Lorraines kombi!!! They adopted her last year when Scotts T3 broke down and she got farmed out to the Nissan support vehicle. LOL

This has to be a testament to the Kombi reliability, doesn't it?

Wasn't the first chunk found last October, just prior to Old bar?

And then the mammoth Xmas journey across 4 states.

I'm guessing it's still the same engine now heading south to Bonny Hills?

    Well done! :)

Laine you are always welcome in our 'tin tent' anytime:heart:

Andy is home late Wed and has Thurs only to do both oil changes (and a whole list of 'boy's things I can't do)...hope he doesn't find any metal bits in our oil, he is such a worrier we will be in the bloody Nissan again if he does:umm:
