Gland nuts

    I know these wonderful critters are 36mm. If you have a flywheel you can get a flywheel lock tool. So that's the manual motor plan.
    Now to the auto motor from the Notch that once you unbolt the torque converter.... no ring gear! Just a plate.
    Can these be rattled off with a rattle gun. Like we do with a pinion seal bolt in a diff?

    From what I have read the gland nut is larger on the auto motors. A special jig is usually used but rattle gun should work. Still have to find a way to torque is up without distorting the plate.

    I can pick up the right impact sockets while I'm in town next. Will try the long breaker bar first but can get access to a rattle gun easily enough.

    Not sure my torque wrench goes to 254 ft-lbs.

    That brace bar set up looks the go, will fab one up.:)

    Worst of having a manual and an auto and having to swap them around. Got to change about 20 parts.:oops:
