    Hi guys,
Just went through the maze of wires under Kate’s dash, got the handbrake light all plugged in but when I release the handbrake the light only dims and doesn’t go off, anyone else gone through this or have any suggestions?
    Cheers

Pull and re reconnect other connetions close by or earthing on same metal plate.
Ensure earth plate is itself earthed.
    Might help.

Don't have a diagram nearby but guess the switch isn't earthed but has a + into it and + out to back of bulb.
The switch is only cutting the circuit.
The bulb is earthed via body to the metal plate it clips in to.
As its bright when lit it probably has a good connection + and-.

Check for any extra wires connected to + feed wire either side of switch.

Pull the wires off back of switch and check light goes out.
    Replace.

Also spray switch with electrical circuit cleaner just in case if prob not solved.

    I wasn't thinking.
    Too many different vehicles.
Have had umbrella brake ratchets/ shaft short out wiring when operated and take a while to find.

If it is a brake light then hopefuly we are on track.
