A message we sent to the street we're in today. "Hi X Close, As we all self isolate we're declaring 5pm BEER O'CLOCK! Instead of sitting inside or on your back deck looking at the beautiful bush we are lucky enough to live near grab a chair and sit out on your front drive and wave to your neighbours and maybe have a 2 metre chat with your neighbours. Hope to see you on your drive tomorrow. Please don't feel obliged. I will, of course, keep up my end & be there every day!! Warm Regards, Lauren & David" Feel free to pass this on in your street. Cheers
Could also be a good time for neighbours to return that drill, saw, shovel, lawnmower, or wife, that they borrowed a while back...... and forgot to return? Assuming they are still in good “working order”..
Geeze, sounds like the gutter party I used to host every weekend in the gutter out the front of my house in the cul-de-sac in Kincumber NSW back in the 'mid 80's ..... come as you are after doing the days work ..... leave when the refreshments of your choice run out
Got 10 at a respectful distance & 4 kids. Just checked in that all were doing okay & caught up with each other . Were all just exercising at the same time. Bring on tomorrow. Cheers
My environment, well, my personal space environment, has definitely improved since the distance measures were introduced. By everyone keeping a 2m distance whilst in public, I’ve not had my senses assaulted, by “close” talkers with disgusting breath, people with putrid body odour, gym junkies with foul unwashed clothes, and even those that choose to wear awful cheap perfumes.
My environment has improved thanks to cv... Path and veg garden that have been waiting 20 years to be achieved!
There's a couple of ton of firewood just the other side of the gate. Winter will be easier this year!
i remember the same each year the wood shuffle but i lived on the side of a hill hard work but love a wood fire great for drying clothes i do miss it but not the lugging of wood
Planning - Preparation - Motivation - Consultation ...... you had to do it right 1st time to avoid having to re hash if it wasn't right
Just to remind you back in the 80’s we called the “cul-de-sac “ the “Dead End” When we were visiting the North Shore Oahu Hawaii a while back we loved that they have the sign up “Dead End” to inform you of this type of suburban geography. Gotta love it !
mmmm don't recall a Dead End sign but then at the end was a bit of bush with a track through it so you could walk to the Kincumber Hotel - 1 klm door to door
