hi all I have noticed that apparently the thing called the heat exchanger for the heater isn’t connected to anything. Like the hole facing forward is open. I have no heater etc.
Question. Is this alright to leave open?

    What motor do you have.

I am unsure if you are talking air in or out.
    Type 1 or 4 motor

Whilst it is not a problem if the hot air goes nowhere it is a problem if air doesn’t blow over the heat exchanger.

Can you post a pic for clarity

If it helps it is a rectangular body with a single circle duct. Behind the starter motor
