    Hi everyone,
Received my new heater box’s this week and have fitted one to right side of engine only to find another issue the extractors that are fitted are in the way to make any sort of connection to the heater box .
I was hoping to run the outlet from fan duct down through the tin ware and straight onto the inlet of the heater box giving good no fuss heat.
So can anyone tell me of a extractor that’s available that will allow me to do this or should I just put on a standard exhaust.(running a 1916)
I have to have demister and heat for blue slip and our cold winter weather.
Looking for a enxpensive way out of another build issue any help or advice appreciated
    Cheers Ignats

Easiest way out would be to bolt on a standard exhaust with heater boxes for the blue slip.
What you do to your bus after that is your call.......;)
I don’t know of any aftermarket extractors that have a heater box element that will permit heater/demister.
    Cheers,

On a beetle I have used the aluminium flex hose from the shroud to the heater box.

I assume you have realised that you take the “oval” connector thing off?
The bit that clamps to the heater box and pokes up through the tin ware?

Takes a bit of “scrunching” but have always got there in the end.

Thanks that’s pretty much what I thought,
Will go with one of those options

Specs just say that you have to be able to supply heated air to clear a specified area in front of driver within a specified time.
    And its pretty minimal.

This should comply as even the 150W one will.
Plus it starts immediately rather than waiting for heater boxes to warm up.
Could be fitted in line if you have a realy mongrel inspector.

    IMPORTANT.
The 150W unit will be ok to run off cig lighter socket but anything bigger WILL need its own wiring with suitably sized wire and fuse.
    Same wire size for earth.
