well, for my year 12 business assignment we have been asked to design a business plan for a business of our own choice, and having an unconditional love for vw buses i chose to start a pretend business named 'Kombi Corner' that specialises in all aspects of the VW bus. The business is going to be situated in Ashgrove near Brisbane. anyway, getting down to this survey, with only a few weeks left for the assignment and me being lazy, i have forgotten to write a survey for the business. so tonight i wrote up a list of questions that i could write on my survey, and decided isntead of asking a whole bunch of people that didn't own, or even know about kombi's, i would ask you lovely people on here! so, i will post the 18 questions on here for whoever wants to answer. there will need to be about 25 individual surveys completed, so the more people on here that answer them the merrier! im sure you have all done surveys before, so you will know what to do.
to all that do them i am extremely greatful, you guys are fantastic. hey, you will even get mentions in my assignment! thankyou to all,

    kind regards, ben

ps, dont worry about categorising, just write whatever you want down and i will categorise them later

thankyou very much baz, your a legend man. yeah i have, except i have had to put it in the appendix because the word limit it only 3000, which is really hard to keep under. so basically anything that can be put in the appendices has to go there! SWOT analysis isnt too bad compared to some of the other stuff we gotta work through.
    thanks again mate

Hey Ben. Best of luck with your assignment. It looks like you've got some pretty good answers out of the gang so for. Here's my 10 cents worth:

How long have you owned your kombi for? 8 months.
Favourite colour of a kombi? Orange.
How often do you drive in your kombi? Was daily (breakdowns excepted!), but will change with a company car.
How often to you see other kombi’s? Almost every day.
Favourite part of your kombi? The driver's seat.
Favourite aspect of the Kombi overall? The simple nature and free spiritedness that comes with them.
Describe your Kombi in one word? Simplicity.
How much money are you spending on your bus each week? $30 p/w in fuel. (will have to work out the rest later!)
What problems have you faced with your bus in the past 6 months? Timing issues; Distributor needed rebuilding; auto transmission needs an overhaul; possible head work.
Do you own more than one bus? If yes, how many? No. Only one.
Have you previously owned many buses? If yes, how many and what kind? No. Daisy's my first.
Favourite bus, splits, low light bays, late bays, 80’s, 90’s bla bla. Late bays - 1973 onwards.
Is your kombi your daily driver? Not any more.
Do you think the Brisbane area needs a kombi parts shop? It could do with one. Although we're spoilt with a good one from the Gold Coast that delivers promptly.
Do you believe that this business could succeed with reasonable profit? If it was done correctly then yes.
    How old are you? 31.
With the rising fuel prices, would you sell your kombi if worst came to worst? No.
Why you bought your kombi? Because I needed something to carry my drumkit around and didn't want to go down the boring Mitsubishi Express route. Plus I'd always had a thing as a kid for aircooled VWs. So why not combine the two?

    Hope that helps, dude.

    Cheers,
    Julian.
