He He He (oh but can we still say) Ho Ho Ho????

Just heard on the Kombi Airways the BIG FELLA in the RED SUIT maybe joining us for the weekend - he heard, just like the white Bundy Bear - that the kombi groovers certainly know how to have a good time.

The Miss Abby and her elder - The Fernstar and co will be attending this mad hatters party this weekend. We are arriving on the Friday as soon as we can brake through the Brisbane Car Park of never ending bumper to bumper traffic. Sometime around 6 - 7pm. Just the gals on the Friday (Fay, Jasmin the kid and Rackie) and Damo and Son (Seth the other kid) on the Saturday. We are on SITE 104.

Cant wait how many sleeps to go know????

    Loves ya all RACKIE

    Have a great time guys!

Have a great time guys! Toni, the G'ster and I can't make it due to school commitments finishing late Friday and a 5 day Geography Field Trip I am helping run at Noosa Monday to Friday for the prize/state winners of the Australian Geography Competition.

Would have loved to come down but absolutely shagged at this time of year after marking and reporting on very little sleep.

I am sure Chopper will have a beer or two for me in my absence.

Sending down to Douggie Express Post a DVD of the Nimbin Mardi Grass Kombi Konvoy.

    Have a great time everyone!

    Cheers
    Brett

HUGE thanks to Roy for sourcing a reconditioned gen. and his help with this...pick up tomorrow AM before driving down early PM...looking forward to it.

I'm coming down with Julian/BargeArse just for the day tomorrow. Either in convoy or just in Lola.

Look forward to a cup of coffee when we get there, lots of chinwagging and even a swim if it's as hot as it is today!

    Yay!:D

    hhhhhmmmmmm......not I said the Brewmaster

    Hey
I can honestly say "hhhhhmmmmmm......not I", says the Brewmaster!

I am home winding down after the last day of school year for me on Friday!

But as for the culprits......well...... there could be a few of the usual suspects.....but then again it's always the quiet respectable ones who really let their hair down and party hard! Dam we missed out! Darnation.

Dare we call them Toolies or even Koolies?
They say Schoolies goes on for a couple of weeks these days so thought I would keep up the theme.

    Cheers

Hah, those lot put the Schoolies and the Toolies to shame! My lips are sealed as to the identities of the party animals, but most Queenslanders/northern NSWers will know who they are and be correct. ;) At least they're consistent!!!

Was nice to see everyone, even if it was just for the day. :)

When's the next camping weekend? How's about end March? I'm happy to organise a place.

Mmmmm, yes. I DID have some blonde foils put in my hair on Friday. Obviously the chemicals are sinking into my brain. :D

Maybe I should say "Kombi camping for those who would dearly love to go to Eden, but can't"????

Friday night - Chopper was dancing away quite merrily, as he does, to a mellow mixture of his favourite tunes, such as Abba  when the park security asked him to reduce the noise levels around 9pm. Although not loud he turned the sound down. A short time later he was asked again and he switched the music off completely.
I was called in to the office on saturday morning, pparently there were complaints of load and foul language from other site users. Immediately to finger was pointed at the kombi owners ( as it wouldn't be the Jayco motorhome users would it). The ultimatum was move to another part of the site or leave immediately.
I am told that the foul language was from a site user, unconnected with the Kombi Club, but positioned in between kombi club members. Which brings me to another point. The Caravan Park has been taking bookings from kombi Club members for probably the last 2 months, so why were we not all put together, which would therefore eliminate the problem on friday night.
Saturday night - we were moved to a section of the park close to a Camp kitchen and all together. Which was ideal.
It is extraordinary that the finger is pointed firmly and squarely at Kombi drivers without the true facts and without listening to reason.
I have called the park this afternoon and insisted that those that had paid for powered sites and ended up with unpowered site, receive a refund of the difference. Also the member who paid for 2 sites and was moved to one site, receive a refund.

Apart from being told to remove the KC sign from the BBQ area, Saturday night was fantastic, thankfully one of the park employees showed a bit of PR and actually came and had a chat.

The kids really enjoyed the night as did the adults. A great big thanks to 'Glow-Monkey'.
Its testament to the comradeship in the Kombi Club that so many people can come together on a weekend like this and enjoy each other's company.
I didnt get chance to thank you all personally, but let me say it now.

Thankyou for attending and thankyou for making the Kombi Club what it is :)

    Cheers Roy.

Yes we got a spot of bad press,

but we also got some great cheers as well,

we picked up our first official kombi club groupie (Pandora) a non member non kombi owner, who came to use the bbq at lunch saturday and decided we were fantastic people and stayed with us until almost 2am. and the teenagers that came up and asked chopper if he was with those Kombi club people who were nearly kicked out, wen he said yes they wanted to know how to join because we really knew how to party.

I had the best time, and look forward to the next one.
