& I've got the bays covered. We may all get there yet.
If we look at the stats for the past events over the years, a high percentage achieve the journey........... the higher failure rate tends to happen on the return journey.
Just an observation........
But I really hope everyone get’s there and back safely, without incident.
Not helping my anxiety.
Old Boy will do us proud.
You have already earnt the sticker by then though. So nobody will ever know.
Quite sure Vera bumps up the percentage for non return journey.
On the bright side, we get our money’s worth with NRMA.
Shame you won’t be at Mallacoota Grant.
....some even arrive on a flat top !!
I know of two that entered Stanthorpe this way !
One drove home, the other trailer-queened it home.....
Gold coast was good. Broken down in the driveway of camp. So made it under VW power. But pushed to campsite under VW Fanatic power.
Judy made Gold Coast Busstop in the same fashion !!
Just as long as you get there!
Going home optional.
Sorry. That is who i was referring too. But my minds eye thought it was Melissa which did not seem right so i remained vague.
That was on the way home! Alternator died - got as far as Grafton (I think) and then put on a flat bed and chauffeur driven home!
Do I need to carry a spare alternator to get the KC crew home?
Hoping to arrive in Mallacoota under Old Boys own engine but 'flat bed' be the ignomious entry.
So long as we get there.
Already packed my lunch for travels!
Yep we became members of the Tilt Tray Club after Forbes Bus Stop.........nothing like a Bus Stop to sort ya Kombi out lol.....hmm I wonder if it's all to do with the event name?
Hi Mark and Sue,
We’ll be travelling on Thu from Bermagui via Tathra and Merimbula about lunchtime so keep a lookout for us!
Will do John....
And we were tilt tray club members on the way to Forbes; our first Bus Stop. Only made it about 10km from home
Perhaps "Bus Go" as a new encouraging title.
None of this is helping my anxiety. I've done PPPPP but I'm still stressing despite a trouble free run to Stanthorpe & Old Boy having a service recently. Fingers crossed that those we're travelling with will bring good Kombi Karma. Or tow us in.
I’m sure a wheel won’t fall off with correctly tightened wheel nuts.......
As Joe Cocker sang & was a wedding song for us "Who knows what tomorrow brings". Only hope I'm as blessed as you Grant and any failure is entering the Caravan Park.
Not quite the same a Grantus he was at home you have 700 plus km to get home.
