I’m on Northside Brisbane, looking for recommendations for a caravan repairer who can replace my 72 campers poptop springs.
Have had no luck getting responses from locals repairers.
    Getting desperate now ! :-(

Are you looking to replace the entire scissor struts themselves ?
Or the springs within the scissor struts ?
Scissor strut replacement is not difficult and you wouldn’t need a mechanic or specialist to do it.
A competent carpenter/handyman could do it.
    They basically just unbolt/unscrew……
    Cheers,
    Mark

    Thanks Mark
I’m just needing a solution so that I can lift the poptop now the awning has made it heavier.
Have received a quote to fit gas struts which doesn’t include replacing springs, I initially thought it did
But thanks to reading your comment I realise it doesn’t .
Now going to see about getting air lifters installed, as this could be my best and only real solution I think.
Unless I can build my muscles up or find a partner to come travelling with me. :)
