    This is Martha's resto page, she's a 72 devon.
will be a slow resto....very slow,
So far have just pulled out all windows to uncover some nasty but very fixable rust
Pulled front bumper off to also discover some hidden rust.

shes off to the panelbeaters soon (hopefully about 1-2 weeks) where she'll have a bit of work done on her, new front floors, new wheel arches (rear) (previous d******d owner used fibreglass and it looks like crap now), new rear light section, fix up all the rust in her window sills, and who knows what else, im sure he'll find some more presents for me....Then off to the painter (as used by John aka "dancing doonars") for as of yet, an undecided paint job...

interior will be fully rebuilt by myself and and my dad, one of dads best mates (i have just found out) is an oldschool reupholsterer and has been commissioned to do all of my work, seats, headlining etc.. we are aiming for original as possilbe, lets see how far we can get with the limited amount of money we have, haha. stay tuned for more progress reports.

    Hey Nice low-light Vinny.

Cant like those rear wheel arches - very nasty.

Looks very fixable and heaps less rust than the lower nose panel of mine had.

Funny how they seem to rust badly in certain spots and not in others - my windows were all good (except the windscreen) but my lower sills and front panels were rotten and my floors were good - strange creatures these old kombis.

Cant wait to see how she looks after her makeover!

    Cheers,

Ok Harry. A word of advice if I may. Don't spend too much. You've got a great Kombi that needs heaps of work. Break it into little bits of work and don't lose focus of your vision. Yell for help if you need it and before you spend up. Get it functional and let time and enthusiasm take care of the rest. Good luck Dude.:)

we bought him as a pure bread maltese, however he is too big to be a pure....
our guess is that he has a bit of shitzu or poodle in him.

well unfortunatley i didn't go to dubs by the pub today because i had to work on uni things and more importantly strip the whole interior from Martha.

2 cans of pest spray and the kombi is now ant and spider free, there was honestly thousands of ants, whole colonies, they just kept coming...that stalled work for a while.

only found a little bit of rust where the rear seat was

here are some pics of todays progress

my brother doing all the work haha

floor covered in years of dirt, bark and rotten wood from the cabinets and chairs
