    and the final result :)

 today the other rear guard is coming off and being replaced with the new ones from Roy, new pieces welded in at the bottom of the sliding door and also fixing up the tailgate.
If time permits, new drivers front floor (and new piece made up for the middle of the floor) will go in today too. taking a long time but it will be worth it in the end, getting VERY excited to go for my first drive in Martha, haven't driven a kombi for a while now and it's really getting to me head :/
    might have pics up tonight...

went to mick motors the other day and got me some things..dizzy, leads and a coil ( was a bit spur of the moment as I really didn't HAVE to have them just thought it would be nice to get the ole girl running for the first time in about 8 yrs. Never thought this day would come, we got martha turing over and firing today! yes I really couldn't believe it, I've got a few videos of it that I'll upload in a little bit... took a few hours to get everything sorted, timing etc etc. pretty good for a few blokes who have never worked on vw engines before.

engine sounded really nice and didn't blow any smoke. Wow!, I think we might need a new fuel sender though, but we'll see...

    video up soon

Chris, the guy who sold me the cooker decided suddenly he doesn't want to sell it now, so my money is now refunded and I think I'll start looking again when I have everything done, was pretty bloody gutted after all of my searching but that's life I suppose.
