Hi Geoff, Gertie is a real head turner, and she is a wonderful reward for you hard work in tracking her down. Wishing you many happy days on your adventure.

Get yourself a USB Power Pack off eBay for about $60.
The size of a small paper back book and it will jump-start your car.
I have had one for a while and used it several times already ( other cars)

I will dig up a sample link

    Hi Geoff,
Gertie looks better than the photos you showed me at old bar. The cupboard kit looks in fantastic condition & I like that additional bench space between the tall cupboard & the stove:). Going to make me one in stainless but not drill into the tall cupboard;).
Happy motoring in Gertie. Plenty of smiles in her:D.
    Cheers

Nice to help the family with wanted presents for christmas! One under my back seat from other members suggestions;). Cheap insurance! Oh...& 5 metres of 3/16ths" thick copper jumper leads to make sure 'old boy' can't be beaten:p.
I've 'jumped started' myself from second battery a few times in the long ago past:D.
    Cheers

Love your work Geoff. And you've got a garage that fits the campmobile's height. I'm rather jealous....

Thanks Dave, I agree, as you know I hadn't seen her myself till I got down on the weekend and was mentally prepping myself that there would be some things about her that may be less than what I expected but by then I was committed to falling in love with her regardless, a bit like an arranged marriage!!
But all pleasant surprises as I get to know her more. The cupboards and timber work are great, cant really see any water damage to speak of, a tiny bit on the top of the stove cover. The internal fold out table is missing so would be good to get the dimensions of an original one so I can re-create. (I have told the previous owner that if he finds it in his garage that I will freight it up). Some wear on the laminate on the horizontal surfaces and a few saggy hinges to sort out but very happy with it. The extra bench piece at high level between the cupboard and the stove is just a piece of wood and some additional battens have been screwed into the cabinets to support it, it is handy when preparing meals etc and doubles as the seat on the lower rung. Original upholstered seat for there is missing also......all smiles at our place!! thanks so much for your interest and advice, cheers

btw - booked in for blue slip inspection Saturday morning......is there an emoji for "fingers crossed"!!

Should have camped at Jingellic in the free camp ground next to the pub and the river

Even has gold coin hot showers and clean beer lines.

Detour at Albury and go through Granya and near Walwa

    Next time :)

That pic was actually out along the Jingelic road, we were heading to that camp at the pub but was getting late so we just stopped. It was pretty quiet only about 3 cars went passed all night. There will be a "next" time for sure and will always aim to keep off the hume!!

My fingers are crossed for you & my emoji is:D for the outcome. Your comments about that spare counter top has got my mind to reconfigure my flip seat with some stainless on the underside & edges so it becomes the extra bench. Just some hang hooks off the tall /stove cupboards & I've got a seat & extra counter top by flipping over . Thanks.
If you require any dimensions of cupboard bits just ask.
Mr Beckstar was lucky enough to find an interior table in excellent condition:cool:.
If you want metal folds to do the stainless stuff I did just ask & I'll send the file.
Bet you can't stop walking out there & looking at Gertie;):p.
    Cheers
