    Hi,

I'm new to Kombis and VWs in general so I apologise if I'm asking a question that many have asked before. I also apologise for the photos that i'm posting, I'm at work and they're all i have.

I was wondering if anyone could help me determine what tins are missing from the rear of my Kombi.

It's a 76 with a fuel injected 1800cc engine. Most of the information I find is related to the 1600cc engines and I'm having trouble finding necessary type 4 information or suppliers.

    Thanks for the help.

Some rubber bits that you might not have.

Basically look all around the body tin and you should end up with a inch gap that takes the foam seal.
Looking for a complete seal separating underneath from engine bay upper.

Replace all fuel lines is first check.

Check out sections that give suppliers and tech info.

    Thanks guys,

Definitely will replace all the fuel lines as the vacuum lines have already caused issue. Will probably replace a number of the air lines too as they don’t look too flash.

I suspect that in this photo I’m missing 13,14 and 15. Though I believe there’s also a large heat shield that goes over the muffler too.

Darren I’m in the Ormond area in Melbourne. Are you aware of a Kombi/Volkswagen wrecker in Victoria?

    I’ll keep you all informed.

Bees, I'm in Highett. Send me a PM and I'll see if I can point you in the right direction.

1500King or Volksdoktor (same guy) has new heat shields that he makes. Not cheap but worth it as it does deflect a lot of the head from the foam above.. Old ones are full of asbestos so if you can find one that hasn't rusted out you will need to paint it with heat proof paint.

I have a heatshield purchased from 1500King. Solid unit but will require addition of some heat insulation
