Well after 30 years of owning beetles as pretty much my daily, with 23 of those years being 1303's and the last 9 years being Marty, now don't own a beetle.

I have had vanagons since 2003 as well.
The first was a bright and happy 1982 aircooled

    upload_2017-11-25_20-41-38.png

Then I bought a WBX in 2006. The extra power and power steering was a delight

    upload_2017-11-25_20-41-7.png

Sadly that one was written off in March last year

    upload_2017-11-25_20-40-42.png

As much as I loved my beetle, I realised how much I missed a van.
After a fair bit of looking around, I also realised how much I (and my wife) enjoyed vanagons as well.
The Superbeetle of the van world.

So, we finally settled on this one.
It is a C - so no air cond, but I am looking at getting that added.
This thing is immaculate. Nothing has been replaced as far as I know. But every rubber is a supple as the day it left the factory.
I thought my last one was good, but this thing is just gorgeous.
I told the bloke I bought it off if he didnt want to sell it to me I would understand.
It was now going to live outside, carry a dog, go to the tip, go camping.
It was going to be used.

It came with some 17" Fuch repos and had been belted with the lowering stick. Way too hard - but it looks great.
It is going to stay that way until one day when it really pisses me off, but the wife doesnt complain at the moment so it is staying there.

We got the windows tinted, and I added a bit of colour.

Anyway, here are a few pictures of the new girl.......

    Nice one Barry.

    It looks fantastic.

The splash of colour really works too.

I really like the stance too - please keep it!

Thanks - just changes the "white van" look
Wife loved the first van. Still thinking of getting it wrapped in New Beetle yellow on the bottom half.

    Nice stuff Barry!!!
I had aircon put into mt T3dual cab it was a few years ago now but they had the VW dealership aircon contract when the T3s were new and installed then They still had the original moldings etc. I willl see if I can dig up their details they specialise in retro fitting air to old metal especially usa import mustangs chevs etc. AUTO FROST ?? rings a bell but not sure The conversion cos me $200 but was worth every cent and was chilly.

Hi Barry very nice van, love the lowered look but if you get sick of it I have 3 sets of Caravelle springs. Hey what about some Terrapodz for the front :)

Very nice ride. Makes me envious as I sort out my '89 before we can get out camping again.
