3 weeks ago Scott (Syncro27) & I installed the shiny reco motor. Yesterday installed the radiator and today filled with coolant. It started easily and drove well however the idle was way to high as I had to screw the idle screw on the Throttle Body almost all the way in to reduce the idle to an acceptable but not ideal level. Replaced the obvious suspects however no change till I replaced the ECU. Now smooth as silk. Just as a precaution going to replace the Temp2 sensor and the O2 sensor as that one is original & due for replacement. Its not as lively as my yellow van but quite nice to drive. This van should look pretty cool with a camo wrap, postal flares, mag wheels, spare wheel carrier on the back. The colour scheme in the pic above is what I am after :)

Im going to try to get my white Caravelle A/C working now after the success that Phil has.

Although we shall see how it is still going after a couple of hot weeks which are coming up......

Take it to the same place Phil did.

The Gold Caravelle I owned for a while, only gave me zero cold after $1500, with incompetent people attempting to do the work. :(

The guy was great he vacumed the system to see if it would hold vacume which it did, he pressurised it to 70lb and it held so he said all were good signs of it working. Went ahead and re gassed & also added uv dye to show any leaks. Next step is to wait to see if holds the gas long term and if does then great but will replace the dryer next year & re gas or if any leaks will fix them, replace the dryer & re gas. Its not a super cold system but it got to 12deg at the vents and he said once driving would get a couple deg colder than that so here is hoping :) The business is Auto Freeze Air Con 044 767 3822 not sure of his area but I do know he does Central Coast NSW
