Welcome Nunta to the KC, What is your chassis number? As 71 shouldn't have large taillights,as you may already know and that some one has cut them in or it's a 72 model. Either way hope you enjoy it wherever it takes you

There were crossover vehicles. Lowlight with large tail lights but later than 71??
Also type 4 engine was much later.
    May be some mods or???
Pics and vehicle/engine numbers may give the cluse.

By your chassis number it's a 72 model. Which should have larger tail lights.
    CA is a 1700 engine.
Photos need to be smaller then 1MB to be able to load them on this forum.

    Thanks for the that Melissa

Okay, it must have an incorrect compliance plate.
I was told it has a 1800 bored out to a 1900... but maybe it was 1700 bored to 1800.
All I know is it hit 80mph yesterday which is 128.7kmh and still had more, but i got scared lol

    Welcome.
Definately 72 model with larger rear vents as well.
Each year starts the previous August?? So could account for 71 claim?
    But definately later model.
Sort suspension and steering and it will sit on 80mph quite happily :D

Long story on kc name, but means wedding in Romanian.
As for Kombi name, was named Wallace by previous owner. I said I’d change to Wendy as last car was male name and wife wants to call Lucy. Heard bad luck to change name though

I love him/her. I’m very pedantic so got a lot to do to go from good to great. Just put a 2000/4000w inverter in and soon to install a 240v instant hot water with a garden nozzle attachment on flick mixer with a magic hose for outdoor showers. Then on to a roo bar with spare carrier and a custom oak roof rack

Also heard that a blaze cut is the way to go for fire safety. 2m length or 3m?

Chris @Nunta welcome to the party that never ends :D

As mentioned previously it is not a 1971 as the air inlets at the rear are the shape from 1972 onwards ;)

Engine number stamped on the case (it's behind the oil breather) may differ to that on the fan housing and thus provide a better idea of what size the case/block is  ..... internals up for grabs from there
