Goldys a short drive Stu. we will clean up before you get home
I did last year, not in my bus though.
I'll stay wherever, not really fussy. I got family in mallanganee if all else fails.
I'm easy as long as I'm with other KCers ! Not really that fussed on where I stay although would prefer to stay in Nimbin or surrounds if possible
Yeah. agree. its good to have a walk among the 'nightlife' if theres any this year. pretty poor amount of food and other stalls last year. Apparently council restrictions.?
enjoyed the previous extensive 'market' atmosphere and its good to be able to have a short walk back to camp. plus have the kombis and camp secure.
wonder if the the group who run the roadside parking/camping on the strip outside rainbow would do a group booking are at the top end of the road.? less passing 'foot traffic'
Sounds good Col ! I've never been to Nimbin before so would like to be able to see the natives in full flight (from a safe distance)
Quite safe to mingle with the 'natives'
some of the imported seedy trash is a bit different but the coppers and organisers keep them sorted pretty much. safe wanderings.
just a pity that a few different 'powers that be' seem to be trying their best to contain and smother a great fun event.
doesn't have as much 'wow. factor as a few years back but then we had idiots climbing on kombis as they went down the street so that needed dealing with.
Regardless , Nimbin is a unique and genuine place rather than the usual plastic tourist spots.
the drive from Byron to Nimbin with 50+is always a great run regardless
Hi there, can you count me in!...Will be first club event for me...good one to start with i think....
Will be checking posts on updates regarding camping...hopefully something comes through.
Mmmh.. do i need to register that i'm attending with anyone?
Me again,..75 restored kombi with lo-lite front
Not really Mrxtrail,
Lorraine will put your name on the list (1st post) she's away for couple days but will no doubt sort it out on her return !
just turn up at the Byron departure point and check who else is camping so that you have a heads up whats happening and who to follow if necessary after the nimbim drive thru
Thanks for that, Stu and cbus.
Just be careful who you buy chocolate brownies from Mrxtrail.
What!...not real chocolate!
Len and I will be there and possibly one other new person with a Kombi. has a venue be found yet?
we'll be coming - hopefully we find a place to camp over
It looks like we may have a location for the Kombis to park/camp after the Konvoy Just waiting for the official OK which we should have soon. Any one who has attended MardiGrass will tell you it is really hard to find a parking spot let alone a separate area for the whole Konvoy to park exclusively in walking distance of the Village. Fingers crossed it comes good for us.........watch this space.
Mine are crossed !!!
