I love my Beetle - looking at some new rims to dress her up.

I have always loved the Tansy Daisy rims but you can't get them here so we were planing on a trip to the USA for Christmas and I was going to buy them over there and bring them back - they are US$140 each and I actually like the silver with the black centre caps. I can get them delivered from the UK for about AU$1600 - ouch!!

Over the weekend I spotted these rims with the big VW logo in black and chrome - they are in Adelaide and are $800 with $150 freight. Are they too "boy racer"? The standard size for this car is 17" so they are a big wheel.

Nah:). If not then I'd stick with original wheel covers.

The daisy with black will compliment the daisy on the dash...

Just be careful on any tax that may be applied on bringing wheels from the states. Had a mate got stung last year when bringing in wheels.
    Daisy with black for me

I agree with Grant. Perhaps get an extra one to wear around your neck as in tintop's post :)

What is the weight = excess baggage = extra $$$$ ..... will airline (could be carrier dependent) allow essentially cargo to be checked in

Daisy with black then would probably put a vw emblem in the middle of the black like on the wheel trims.
