Yes a nice lady but she has some issues - especially with that engine.

It should be in a buggy - not a kombi!

Oh My;). The luck that some use to get to old bar

Too many flowers weighed it down:rolleyes:. She was still painting flowers on it on Sunday:p.
Appears it didn't help the 'home' journey:D.
    Cheers

They are resilient, and can keep going with lots of things done wrong............ but there is a limit. :(

Could be either.... but in this case, I was referring to her Kombi, after Chuck’s observations.

This is Lani's bus from Dubbo, (not on the forum) lovely person, always dreamt of a kombi, she was inspired 3 years ago while at Old Bar that one day she'll drive her own kombi to the festival.
She's put a huge effort getting the bus together over time on limited budget.
Apparently its got a blown rear seal, at Hawks Nest until she can arrange a trailer to tow home.
She very much appreciated the kindness of the kombi people stopping & willing to assist, sure she'll be back next year.

We live in a Country full of them - if you live in a bushy area of any capital city they will be around.

It was just the lead up conditions of a dry cold winter and some rain just before the event that brought them out.

I think it adds to the fun.

This is what I fear most with the dogs. While blacks don't worry me the browns are a different kettle of elapids. I accidentally mowed one a couple of months back with the Kubota. Felt bad about it but who knows, maybe it was the one that was going to bite someone or some dog here.

    Totally agree Greg.

And the blacks eat the Brown snake eggs, so delete too many of them, and you end up with an overload of aggressive Eastern Browns.....:(

Why didn't the NRMA tow her all the way home?

NRMA classic 20km. NRMA premium 50km. NRMA premium plus 50km local & 100km remote.

Hope Old Boy doesn't break down near Old Bar. They won't take him home to Newcastle for me:mad:.

I wonder if the $3000 in major breakdown benefits (towards accommodation, hire car and onward travel ) is allowed to be used for a tow if you are a long way from home? I always thought it was - I know I was towed home from Sydney and another time towed from Ballina

Good question. So you were with NRMA for those tows? I've understood it was their nearest depot or further charges beyond the agreed distance:confused:.

Yes - NRMA Premium care - the Sydney tow was Little Red when I bought her - it was actually south of Campbelltown and the Ballina tow was on the way home from Gold Coast Bus Stop.

Of all the 30 years I’ve paid the top cover with NRMA, you’d think they would have offered a free tow for the only ever tray top ride 18kms to the panel beaters and back for the Velle........but it wasn’t broken enough. :(
