Wouldn’t miss it !
Site locked in last year....
Maybe we can finally catch up!
We'll be there.
Serious? We seem to catch up at Old Bar, and the Nationals, yet you haven’t met Mark yet?
This is correct!
Great time last year, and will be there again in 2019 with a few more family members.
Well, that’s gotta change!
Yup, we’re in
Definately Greg......we will be travelling with Kirra’s memories....
I would love to camp this year in Bindi.... If anyone has a site that they are thinking about cancelling........
Otherwise I will be staying at Manning Point...
Lanis always have spare sites for people who just turn up and last minute cancellations. However the spare sites are often unpowered. If you can help it don't stay at Manning Point as the drive to and from Old Bar where all the action is, is a real drag.
Ow, I didn't know this. I can do unpowered. I don't mind Manning point, but the road in is a bit rough.
We booked at Lanis last year, but had an unpowered site on the airstrip, just across the road.
Was OK, still used the camp facilities and close to the fireworks and the markets.
Will be staying there again this year, but will bring a bigger hammer, the earth covers a large patch of bitumen and was an absolute bugger to bang tent pegs into!!!
Take a cordless drill with you and drill a hole first with a masonry bit.
That's what was offered to us at Lightning Ridge, at the campground office !!
I use hardened steel pegs and a good 24 oz. club to drive 'em in........
Some places you travel you need all the help you can get ,to get the pegs in the ground. we take two sets shorter ones for hard ground and longer for sand etc. also a lot of caravan parks use reclaimed land that has a lot of rock and fill under neath the surface of the ground. Which doesn't help get pegs in either.
We'll be there, we're on the overflow area on the air strip last year, great spot to view the fireworks from!!
We hide down at Meridian. Like it busy in the main street & quiet down the back street .
Rubber mallet here. Great walloper!
Sometimes you just know you have the right tool for the job.
